Thanks to the preschool’s Parent Association Bubble Show Plus visited, turning an ordinary day into a bubble extravaganza. For the first time ever, all 20 classes were able to enjoy the interactive bubble experience with their classmates and teachers. The school’s summer sessions are always a bit more fun, and the bubble show was a perfect way to treat the students to interactive playful joy.

“It was interactive, very cute and the kids really enjoyed it,” said Teacher Assistant Shayla McCombs.

The students in Monica Brooks’s class were the first to enjoy their 20-minute session with professional bubbleologist, Daniel Garcia. The session started with a dance party where Daniel used a bubble gun to engulf the room with plenty of tiny bubbles. The children were thrilled as they jumped to grab the floating shiny soap spheres. They were more than ready for all that was to come.

After the bubble dance party, the children lined up and extended their hands for Daniel to place a large bubble into each one. Then, he blew a puff of lavender-scented smoke into them. When it popped, the pleasing smell and expanding cloud enticed the children with laughter and curiosity. The interactive event was also a delight for teachers and staff. Every trick—including the building of a bubble tower in people’s hands and creating a bubble hat to place on people’s heads—were enjoyed by students and staff alike.A Marcus Avenue Preschool students looks at bubbles during the bubble show.

One student, Hudson, was filled with glee seeing his teachers enjoy the activities just as much as he did. He also wowed in amazement as the bubbleologist placed his teacher inside a giant bubble. The students left the session with a new appreciation for bubbles and art, along with bubble wands to take home—courtesy of the bubbleologist.

After returning to class, the students settled down for snack time and continued their “Fun Friday” activities.

“Every class does something different, but in my class, we have ice cream every Fridays,” said Monica. “Today was fun for the students. We do bubbles in the playground when it’s time to go outside, but this was extra special because there was music, and he did different things with the bubbles. It was very sensory forward, and we should do it more often.”
